Team Mom

Today is the day! I've been counting down this day since the closing ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Here in Edmonton we have our own world-class athlete to be proud of in Paula Findlay (triathlon).  We see athletes on the world stage during events like the Olympics, but that is just the tip of the iceburg for all the daily hard work and dedication they have invested in becoming the best they can be.  They're also not alone in their pursuit for gold. For every athlete there is a team of people supporting them; trainers, coaches, physio, sport psychologists, friends, and their family.

It can't be easy raising an Olympic athlete.  Here is Paula Findlay's mom in Yahoo's 'Raising an Olympian'.
